Since the age of four, Malika has been singing and dancing in musicals and choirs. As a teen, she entered Performing Arts School to pursue voice. It was at this age that Malika was manifesting a strong consciousness against the system and its wrongdoings. Rastafari manifested in her life shortly after- and reggae music had the greatest impact and influence upon her ever since. Heavily influenced by the legends such as Bob Marley, the I-three's, Abyssinians, Hugh Mundell, Jacob Miller, etc…she began writing and composing songs. She has toured and performed abroad and internationally with legends such as Wadi Gad, Yami Bolo, Apple Gabriel, the Mighty Diamonds, Mikey Dread, Roots Natty, among many others. Malika has performed at numerous festivals and shows including the Ragamuffin festival in Long Beach, the Sierra Nevada Music Festival, Bob Marley Day Festival, Dreadstock, and the Monterrey Reggae Festival. Sugar Minott
The Kingston, Jamaica born, Lincoln "Sugar" Barrington Minott is one of the great figures of Reggae music, and is fully justified to carry the status as the "Godfather of Dancehall". In the early 1970's Sugar Minott went to Studio One Recording Studios. By laying vocal tracks over the original tapes from the 60's, rather than using a live band, he caused a revolution in the sound that brought a new style to Reggae music--Dancehall. Sugar started his musical journey by entering talent contests in his youth. After he finished school he began selling records and formed his own sound system Black Roots, which was eventually to develop into the mighty Youthman Promotion. In 1969 Sugar became part of the African Brothers, dropping several successful singles that were an early example of the Rastafari movement's influence on the Jamaican music scene. Sugar has released a number of superb albums that he produced himself that established him as a bonafide worldwide Reggae star. These include "Ghetto-ology", "Bitter Sweet", "African Girl", "Music For Roots Lovers", "Sweeter Than Sugar", "Dancehall Showcase" and "Black Roots". Sugar continues to record and tour across the globe and he has released over 60 albums to date. Sugar Minott remains the true, original dancehall Reggae star and continues to be an inspiration and mentor to many up and coming artistes in Jamaica and across the world.
Fire Pashon
Jamaica's rich musical history has been categorized by large families in which heredity plays significance. Fire Pashon is one such artist that was borne to such history. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Tamar Minott is the daughter of legend Lincoln Sugar Minott. Growing in Kingston, especially the ghetto, she became familiar with the struggles of the people, which would later be evident in her lyrics. Pashon's exposure to the world of music began at a tender age, due to her famous father's body of works in and outside the recording studio. Other factors included her attending dancehall events and major reggae festivals such as Reggae Sunsplash, Sting and Sumfest ect.
Eek A Mouse
Started in the early 80's. He comes up as One of the original/best "Dance Hall" innovators/artists ever! "Da Mouse" how his friends call him lovley has an unmistakable voice and style which is making him a unique personality in Jamaican music.

Bonafide Reggae Band

Bonafide is reputedly the toughest and most sought after reggae band in Las Vegas and the West Coast for that matter. Reggae affecionados will probably be more acquainted with the group's recent releases, " REGGAE TIME ", "RUN THE CLUB" and "WHY" also featuring Luciano and Dancehall Dj, Lexus.

Interestingly, this entire four-man band originates from Montego Bay, Jamaica where they performed on the north coast hotel circuit in the early 1990's before migrating to the USA in 1996. Since then they have toured extensively in Japan, Australia, Fiji, Hawaii and New Zealand where they entertained 10,000 reggae-hungry fans. Their musical pedigree has allowed them to back high profile reggae artistes such as Fiji, Wailing Soul, Michael Rose, Sanchez, Bounty Killa and Spragga Benz.

The Bonafide Band consisting of the Stephen brothers have to thank their father, Adolph"JAH B" Stephens, for passing on his strong musical genes and bringing out their musical talent from a early age. JAH B is a founding member of the well-known Rastafarian Group, "Prince Tebah and the Sons of Thunder".

The group consists of leader, Donovan"Junior Roots", Kevin, Wayne "Waynie Bass" and Robert " Rickey Dread". The talented leader "Junior Roots" who can play all the instruments normally takes lead vocals and drums. "Rickey Dread" and Kevin play keyboard and Wayne plays Bass Guitar. They have rounded the group with Dj, Omar "Kerry Ranks" Bell.

After Launching their first album "Bonafide Love" in 2000, they are extremely excited about their new 17 track compilation entitled " Reggae Time" which they have been getting great feedbackon. In fact, the songs have caught the attention in Jamaica where the single by the same name continues to be requested by radio listeners.

Rootz Underground
Revolution reggae music - edgy, raw, natural, roots... They are Rootz Underground. That is their sound. Many influences have borne their 'rootz', including their homeland Jamaica - birthplace of Rastafari and other radical movements, JAH - creator of all things, family, the earth in all its glory, the revolutionary 70's, Dub and Roots Reggae music.
Bushman
Born Dwight Duncan, in the lush picturesque hill top village of Spring Garden, St. Thomas, Jamaica. He was raised as a Rasta since the tender age of two. Dwight attended the Lysson All Age School, where his music teacher noticed his potential for music and nurtured him in his developing stages. Dwight then went on to Yallas High School where he continued to shine musically as a member of the school choir, a member of the Yallas drum core, playing the bass organ, also participating in numerous school concerts. He was also a member of the New Testament Church of God Choir, where he earned the name Ark Angel. During his teenage years he became the selector for Black Star Line sound-system, then known as Junior Melody he took part in several singing competitions and talent searches in and around St. Thomas. Gaining a strong local fan base Junior Melody began to sing dub plates for local sound-systems such as Lees Unlimited, Mello Construction, King Majesty and others. The rave reviews from the sound selectors and the people of his community encouraged Junior Melody to take his talent to the next level, the studios of Kingston Jamaica, the place to be if he wanted to make a name for himself in the reggae business. These were hard times for Junior Melody, travelling to Kingston is a seventy mile return journey. Being poor he would have to hitchhike most of the time, sharing one bulla and a bag juice with anyone of his friends that dared to make the journey with him. (Bushman later recorded a song relating to this period of his life, Titled Life aint no bed of Roses). The hard times did not deter him from seeking his dream. After many month of travelling to Kingston and waiting around at the studios. It was during an impromptu game of football at Arrows Dub plate studio where Junior Melody met Steely and Clevie. Steely commented that Junior Melody was not to good at football, Junior Melodys response was I can sing though in hearing that Steely prompted him to sing something. Right there in the yard Junior Melody sang, Steely immediately invited him to audition at Studio 2000. Their first song together was Grow Your Natty, an outstanding debut, Swiftly followed by the hit Call The Hearse. With talks of an album Steely wished to change the name Junior Melody to Bushman. Initially the singer/song writer was not happy with this name at all, he thought it some how derogatory to him coming from the country, until he researched the name only to discover that Bushman was an Afrikan name for Medicine Man. Bushman became the musical Medicine Man. Bushman has been full filling the meaning of this name to date. Call The Hearse became a big hit in Jamaica and England, after which followed some live dates. Bushman received a rapturous welcome on a short US tour followed by more live shows in Jamaica. Bushman was to see the release of his first album Nyah Man Chant (Greensleeves) during the year 1997. Nyah Man Chant earned a five star rating all over the world, with comments such as A set of tunes that are both inspired and inspiring.I stopped listening to individual tracks about halfway through the CD as I realized that Nayah Man Chant is good till the very last drop. BurninUp; The Journal 5/7/97.adding five stars. Nyah Man Chant as now earned its self-a place in the realms of Greensleeves Reggae Classics. Bushmans newly enriched creativity made him a much sort after artist both home and abroad. However it was the famous King Jammy (Lloyd James) who produced the next two albums following by Bushman. The first being Total Commitment (Greensleeves) With a combination of Bushmans year out, and the mutual respect between artist and producer the results brought forth a more mature and focused second album. Total Commitment took the reggae music business like a stormy inferno. With tracks like Fire Bun a Weak Heart a big hit! Babylon Dead, Live Your Life Right, and many others. Just seven weeks after its released Total Commitment was ..7 in the US album charts, also gaining ..1 in Finland. 2001 saw the release of Bushmans third album Higher Ground (Greensleeves). A charming piece of work from Jamaicas finest, producer, singer/songwriter and instrumentals. With tracks like Yadd Away Home, giving you Bushman in his finest smooth bar tone, alongside the well renowned saxophone player Dean Frazser. Your Love a song inspired from his personal life and a big favorite with his fans across the globe. This album consists of hit after hit bringing you songs titled Fire Pan A Deadas, Love of The Heart and Make A Change. Songs with lyrics to provoke critical thinking about politics, diet, life style and the current state of the world today. Bushman pleases his fans again. A Better Place, a fourth contribution from Bushman. For this album Bushman teamed up with English based Stingray. It took Bushman 2 weeks to write every song on this15 track album, which was released at SOBs New York, in October 2001. This album host a liveication to Bushmans mother track 14,Mama,Fill My Cup is a testament to the life and achievements of Bushman. Again the outstanding lyrics of each track will carry you to higher and higher levels of enlightenment, leaving you feeling strong and ready to bring positive vision to reality. Aside from these four great albums Bushman has a selection of singles such as Life Ain't No Bed of Rose, Jerusalem School Room, Extortions, Sunshine, Where are Your Clothes, Afrikan Women, and many others including a combination medley with Morgan Heritage, Truly Great, another great hit around the world. Bushman as recently enjoyed his first major tour of the US, with the Kings of Kings Family. Bushman was the headliner for the tour with the awesome job of closing every show. Bushman was delight with the response he received in the US hosting sellout shows in cities such as San Francisco, Durango, Seattle, New York and Canada. Every venue where Bushman preformed promoters have renew their contracts for further shows. This tour was followed with a dynamic sellout second tour of Europe. Where Bushman preformed for the first time in countries such as Germany and France, all shows where a total sellout, making Europe Bushmans largest fan base to date. He will be returning to Europe in June/July 2002 for the big festivals. Bushman has also performed in most if not all the Caribbean Islands, he also gave an outstanding performance at the Nevada World Music Festival, June 2001, and he stormed the crowd for the first time at Bob Marley day 2002. Despite the ever-increasing recognition of his talent Bushman remains a humble down to earth figure, who still lives in St.Thomas with his wife and children. Joying in the frequent trips to the lush bath fountain where they bathe in the hot mineral water. Living a life style of strictly ital foods and juices. Yes Bushman leads a humble but enlightened life in his birthplace parish of St. Thomas. Bushman with his natural talent for singing, is an outstanding artist carved from the same iritical musical tradition as Bob Marley, Dennis Brown and Luciano (with whom he has a very close relationship), who he quotes as being his most dominant influences. With his dynamic lyrics, Superb showmanship and classic performances, the Rastafarian known as Bushman is an artist with which to hold a joy with, and a force to be reckoned with. During the month of March Bushman filmed his first video for a single Titled Light House for the Hart to Hart production. The video was filmed in Bushmans home parish St. Thomas; the location was the Landmark lighthouse, situated at Morant Point. At present Bushman is producing a live album, with the executive support of Kings of Kings Iley Dread AKA Collin Levy. An album not to miss!

Aphrodesia

It's been quite a ride for Aphrodesia since their birth in 2003: a pilgrimage to the legendary Shrine nightclub in Lagos, Nigeria in 2006, a cross-country voter-registration tour in a vegetable oil-powered bus in 2004 and accolades everywhere from National Public Radio to USA Today. Through it all the San Francisco-based 11-piece ensemble has won audiences over with an eclectic, unique sound- a blend of rich, female lead vocals and slamming horn-laden polyrhythmic funk that Global Rhythm Magazine called "a Pan-African mash-up."

While the members of Aphrodesia are admirers of West African styles like afrobeat and Highlife- enough so that the group spent a month performing and living in Ghana in 2006, in the process journeying through Togo and Benin to Nigeria to perform at the Shrine with Femi Kuti- the group's sound has always included touches of funk, dub, Zimbabwean trance, hip-hop and global pop. The band's new studio album- "Lagos By Bus" to be released in November of 2007 by Cyberset Music and packed with songs written during and about their month in Africa- further solidifies their diverse sound.

Birthed in 2003 in the backyard shack of bassist Ezra Gale, Aphrodesia quickly recorded "Shackrobeat Vol. 1", a disc heavily influenced by singer Lara Maykovich's experience living in Ghana and Zimbabwe which was picked as a top record of 2003 by the East Bay Express. The following year the politically outspoken group launched the "Just Vote Tour", a cross-country swing-state voter registration tour undertaken in the group's vegetable oil-powered bus that landed in New York City during the Republican National Convention. The group's second album, "Front Lines", was recorded soon after and featured the layered lead vocals of Maykovich and Maya Dorn, several bold originals penned by the group and eclectic guest performers ranging from Tom Waits sideman Ralph Carney to former Sierra Club president Adam Werbach. Featured on National Public Radio, the album was also ecstatically reviewed by outlets from Global Rhythm Magazine to the Village Voice.

Meanwhile, the group's reputation as a show-stopping live act continued to spread. With a lineup that includes singers Mayokovich and Dorn, bassist Gale, guitarists David Sartore and Chris Mulhauser, the horns section of Henry Hung, Liz Larson, Mitch Marcus and Sylvain Carton, percussionist Paul Sonnabend and powerhouse drummer Jason Slota, Aphrodesia delivered stunning, high energy sets at the 2004 and 2005 High Sierra Music Festivals, the 2005 Earthdance Festival, the 2005 and 2006 Aspen Jazz Festival, the 2006 and 2007 Harmony Festival and many more. The group's near-constant touring saw them build a fan base all over the U.S., playing venues from San Francisco's Fillmore to New York City's S.O.B.'s, while opening slots for Maceo Parker, Steel Pulse, the String Cheese Incident, the Sierra Leone Refugee All-Stars, Konono no. 1 and several others broadened their reach even further.

Aphrodesia's music carries with it a strong sense of social justice, and the band's commitment to social change extends offstage as well. Having headlined numerous benefits for causes ranging from AIDS prevention to Tsunami Relief to anti-Iraq War organizations, the group has also made a point of traveling on alternative fuels like biodiesel and recycled vegetable oil. It may be a small start, but the group believes that its actions, like its music, can have a huge effect.

Walling Souls Reunion
The Wailing Souls have been producing great music since the 60's. Originally the Renegades, Lloyd "Bread" McDonald and Winston "Pipe" Matthews recorded backing vocals for Ernest Ranglin. Shortly after this they began making big tunes for Sir Coxsone Dodd of Studio One.
